One project to be realized is the project “Increased energy efficiency of the facility Krste Petkov Misirkov Demir Hisar by changing the existing external carpentry". Increasing of the energy efficiency of Krste Petkov Misirkov high school will mean improvement of the environment for teaching and learning of the residents of at least 3 Pelagonija municipalities. The increase of the energy efficiency will reduce emissions of harmful substances in the air, from which will benefit the entire region of Pelagonija.
Another projects to be realized is “Regulation of the riverbed of Crna River and its tributaries downstream the municipalities of Demir Hisar, Bitola, Novaci and Mogila”.
The project activities will regulate the river bed of Crna River and its tributaries at several critical points in the rural areas of Pelagonija. With the regulation of the river bed of Crna River a contribution will be made towards protection of the environment in the entire Pelagonija region and also towards the protection of future floats and overspills of the water of this river. Crna is regional water resource which springs on the territory of the municipality of Demir Hisar, continues downstream to the municipalities Bitola, Krivogashtani, Prilep, Mogila and Novaci and then thru the municipalities of the Vardar region (Vardar, Kavadarci, Rosoman) inculcates in the river Vardar and the Aegean sea.
Both projects will contribute to the realization of the goals of the Strategy for Regional Development of the Republic of Macedonia and of the Programme for development of Pelagonija region.
