Promotion of the strategy for cultural development of the Pelagonia planning region occured

Today on the 04.12.2013 at 12:00 o clock in the headquarters of the Center for Development of the Pelagonija planning region a promotion of the strategy for  cultural development of the Pelagonia planning region occured.

The promotion was realized in organization of the Center for development of the Pelagonija planning region and Locomotive – center for new initiatives in the filed of the art and culture. On this promotion present were the members of the Network for development of the culture in the Pelagonija region. The strategy for cultural development of the Pelagonija region 2013 – 2016 was realized in the framework of the working of the axis for cultural policies from the Program for decentralized collaboration between the region of Lower Normandy and the Republic of Macedonia. The program is financially supported from the Ministry of foreign affairs of republic of France and coordinated by the Association of agencies for local democracy ALDA.  The vision of the Strategy is Pelagonia planning region is European cultural and tourist destination where culture is a resource of knowledge and innovation that contributes to social integration and economic development. And the Mission of the Strategy is regional connection between the cultural stakeholders and residents of communities for the promotion of cultural identity, heritage and tourism in the Pelagonia planning region by utilizing and strengthening its capacity and content. Strategic objectives for cultural development of the Pelagonija planning region are:
1.Development of professional capacity
2.Development of local cultural policies
3.Networking and development of inter-municipal and international cooperation.
4.Intersectoral collaboration and development of cultural tourism

Partners of the axis for cultural policies are Locomotive – Center  for new initiatives in the filed of the art and culture (Macedonia) and the area of the bay Mon San Michelle (Lower Normandy). Local partner of Locomotive in the realization of the activities of the axis for cultural policies is the Center for Development of Pelagonija planning region. The Strategy for cultural development of Pelagonia planning region 2013 - 2016 is available for download on the side of the Centre for Development of Pelagonia planning region www.pelagonijaregion.mk.
