The Center for Development of Pelagonija region on the 26th of November 2012 in the conference room of the National Extension Agency for Agriculture in Bitola, held info day within the project “Introducing and implementing of the EU LEADER approach in Pelagonija region”.At the event were attending representatives from the municipalities in the region, companies, farmers, youth association, organization of women, civil association, federation of farmers, volunteer organization, ecological society etc.
Through short presentation of the project coordinator Mr. Vladimir Velichkovski, were explained the principles and characteristics of the EU LEADER approach and by examples of successfully implemented LEADER projects were shown the possibilities offered by this program.Topic for discussion were the expectations from introducing the LEADER approach and started the process for defining the priority needs and creating ideas to improve the conditions in the rural areas in the region.
