Answering the invitation of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA), the representative of the Centre for Development Pelagonija region (the owner of the technical documentation for reconstruction ZOO Bitola) along with the director of the Zoo in Bitola attended the Annual EAZA Conference. The invitation to participate in the conference followed the assigned status "Candidate for Membership in EAZA (under reconstruction)” to Bitola Zoo.
Main goal of the participation was Zoo Bitola to meet and present itself in front of the European Zoo community and to see the presentations of other EAZA CfMs. Presentations showed in details the progress that these Zoos have achieved over the past 12 months. In 2013, this will be a legal obligation for Zoo Bitola.

- Zoo Osijek - Croatia
- Zoo Sarajevo - Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Zoo Sofia - Bulgaria
- Zoo Brasov - Romania
- Zoo Yerevan - Armenia
- Zoo Tirgu Mures - Romania
During the conference, bilateral meetings were held, with the top managements of:
- EAZA
- Sofia Zoo
- Sarajevo Zoo
- Zoo Kaliningrad
- Zoo Osijek
- Zagreb Zoo
- Majro Hoedemaker - Mentor who EAZA appointed to lead the reconstruction process and responsible for the achievement of European standards and criteria for keeping animals in captivity in Zoo Bitola.
The conference attended more than 200 conference delegates and associates from Zoos and Aquariums across Europe.
