With financial resources provided by its annual budget, Zoo Garden Bitola will reconstruct the hippopotamus enclosure. Construction activities will be carried out according to the technical documentation for the complete reconstruction of the Zoo.
The enclosure will be reconstructed according to the requirements of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria, and it will meet the strictest modern criteria and standards for keeping animals in captivity, provided by the European Commission.Upon completion of construction activities, the Zoo will get a new resident that will enrich its offer and will respond to the needs of its visitors.Additionally, with financial support by the Programme for regional development of RM, funds for electricity installment within the enclosure will be provided.
