In the framework of the Program for accomplishing the national interests in the culture for 2012, the Ministry for culture of Republic of Macedonia approved the project to the Center for Development of Pelagonia Region, named as ‘Decentralized collaboration – cultural politics and cultural exchange between Republic of Macedonia
(Pelagonia region) and Republic of France (the region of Lower Normandy)’. Project will be implemented in 2012 and the same represents a continuance to the already taken actions by CDPR in the section of cultural development and development policies of the region.
Carrier of the implementation is the Center for Development of Pelagonia region, and as partners for realization are Cultural Center- Bitola and Lokomotiva –Center for new initiatives in the art and culture – Skopje.
The main goal of the project is contribution to the overall development of Pelagonia region throughout the culture and cultural and art offer.
Specific goals of the project are:
- Strengthening the capacities of the cultural institutions of Pelagonia region in terms of strategic planning and development of new competitive cultural and artistic products;
- Enrichment of the cultural offer in the region;
- Initiation of long-lasting partnerships between the cultural institutions of Pelagonia region and their relevant international institutions, as a main basis for creation and development of mutual projects which will improve the presentation of Macedonian culture in international frames.
Project realization anticipates the following TWO MODULES:
Module 1 -Cultural exchange between Pelagonia region and the region of Lower Normandy
Module 2 - Strengthening the capacities of the cultural institutions of Pelagonia region in terms of strategic planning and realization of their development plans.
