The Center for development of the Pelagonija planning region organized the first training within the frames of the project “Building partnerships”, from the 7-10th October 2010 in hotel “Milenium” in Bitola. The training was directed at developing project proposals
for financing by the EU pre-accession funds. This training was intended for the administration of the local self-governments in the Pelagonija region, especially the departments of local economic development.
There will be conceptual and theoretical presentations, practical work, and work in groups and discussions during the training. This way, the participants will be introduced to the project management, the phases of the project cycle and how to manage it. Also, they will be trained to become capable of identifying problems, their analysis and turning them into goals. Furthermore, they will know how to set the basis of a good project (logics framework, intervention logics, etc.), they will know how to prepare detailed action plans, they will be introduced to the budgeting process and the types of budgets, as well as the rules of EU applications.
In this manner, the Center for development of the Pelagonija region invests in the development of the public sector capacities. This happens through the establishment of an organized and structured team equipped with the necessary skills in each of the Pelagonija municipalities, and ready to coordinate and support the business activities in the region.
