The gala promotion of the Development Center of the Pelagonija planned region formalized the structure for regional development of the Pelagonija planned region consisted of the municipalities Resen, Bitola, Novaci, Mogila, Krivogastani, Demir Hisar, Krusevo, Dolneni and Prilep, united under the slogan “European vision for Pelagonija”.
The inauguration on May 14th 2010 at the Milenium hotel in Bitola, was attended by the deputy minister of environment and physical planning, Mrs. Sonia Lepitkova, the state secretary of the Secretariat for European Affairs, Jovan Andonovski, the president of the Development Council of the Pelagonija planned region and mayor of the municipality of Bitola, Vladimir Taleski, and the mayors of the other regional municipalities, consuls, representatives of citizen associations, numerous guests and friends of the Pelagonija planned region.
The gala ceremony was divided on gala and a working part. During the gala part, the deputy minister of local self-authority, Faruk Feratovski, addressed the present guests, emphasizing that in the previous year the government of the Republic of Macedonia enabled assets of more than 1.29 percent of the gross domestic product for regional development.
This center should be an effective instrument for realization of the mutual or projects which will be of priority- said Mr. Feratovski announcing the center for open.
During the working part, or info-session, Mrs. Ofelija Kaljosevska- head of the coordination sector for foreign assistance, presented the foreign financial assistance in the Republic of Macedonia, explaining the significance of project applications, their positive and negative sides, and also how to be careful with the application approach in order not to be rejected.
The second and third presentations of the cross-border cooperation Program between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Greece and the cross-border cooperation Program between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Albania, were held by Miss Martina Antic – head of the IPA sector in the Ministry of local self-authority.
First head of the Development Center of the Pelagonija planned region is Mrs. Emilia Geroska.
