“Pivo fest” is a beer festival held during the summer period in the town of Prilep organized by the municipality of Prilep and the economic subjects.
The festival is of open type and is held in the center of town. The participants are famous beer producers and local caterers.
There are visitors from all over Macedonia and the neighboring countries. The festival is known for good entertainment, barbeque and cold beer, and of course the massive attendance.
The festival has gained a tradition of its’ own and holds one of the most important places in the tourist map of Prilep. More than 350,000 visitors from Macedonia and abroad were present at the festival party in 2007, drank around 250 tons of beer and ate around 60 tons of barbeque.
Around 30 music performers of the traditional and pop music scene have performed on the two stages in the center of the city.
There have been organized visits from Greece and Bulgaria, and there have been tourists from China at the 15 stands of the six breweries and ten rotisseries. “Pivo fest” in Prilep will last 4 days this year: from Thursday, July 15th until Sunday July 18th. The organizers will offer a great selection of beer, barbeque, music at different stages, and entertainment.
