From 17.07.2010 until 10.08.2010, the realization of the manifestation “Krusevo-etno grad” will begin. More than 5000 citizens will participate in the manifestation “Krusevo-etno grad” this year, which has the purpose of bringing the town back to life through tourist promotion.
The manifestation will be opened in front of the Ilinden monument in Krusevo. “The citizens of Krusevo are already armed with traditional costumes of the komiti, the Turks and the rich men. This year the modern lighted billboards of the stores are replaced with handwritten new names as in the time of 1903. The hotels have their doors wide open for all the visitors who are coming to congratulate the citizens of Krusevo their new battle in this new uprising; “Good luck heroes” and “Long live tourist Krusevo” can be herd everywhere.”
Last year when this manifestation was organized for the first time, it received excellent public reactions; the British BBC made a special reportage from the happenings in Krusevo, and later the manifestation received many european awards for development of tourism. This year “Krusevo-etno grad” is organized with the support of UNESCO Bresce, through the Italian Ministry of foreign affairs, the Macedonian Ministry of culture and the municipality of Krusevo.
