Representatives of the Center for Development of Pelagonija region attended the training for strengthening the capacities of the stakeholders in the trans boundary regions of Prespa and Shara held from 12th to 14th of March 2013 in Hotel Bistra in Mavrovo.
The training was organized by the Standing Working Group (SWG) for SEE within the project “Preparation for Implementation of the Area Based Development Approach (ABDA) in the Western Balkans”.
Topics covered on the training were project proposal writing and strategic planning. The purpose of the training was to strengthen the capacities of the stakeholders group consisting representatives of the regional and local authorities, civil society and the business sector, in order to enhance the regional cooperation in the trans boundary regions of Prespa and Shara for their sustainable development.
End result of the inclusion of the stakeholders in the strategic planning for regional cooperation in both trans boundary regions will be development and implementation of programs and projects to promote economic development, as well as establishing of a platform for exchange of informations, experience and good practices in the regional rural development.
