On the 23rd of January 2013 in Milenium Hotel in Bitola Center for development of Pelagonija region in cooperation with USAID Small Business Expansion Project, run by Carana Corporation, organized working meeting to review the opportunitѕ to introduce and improve the irrigation systems for agriculture in Pelagonija region.
On this event attended Mayors from municipalities of Prilep, Demir Hisar, Dolneni and Krivogastani, representatives who are involved in the sector of irrigation in municipalities of Resen, Prilep, Krivogastani, Novaci and Mogila, representatives from JP Strezevo,Director and representatives from the Center for development of Pelagonija region, Director of the water management public entity from Prilep, representatives from PointPro Consulting and from USAID SBEP - Carana Corporation.During the meeting were presented problems and opinions from all stakeholders for the irrigation situation in the region and were discussed possibilities for extending the system for all municipalities, on local or regional level. These informations will be used in further development of the feasibility studies that will be made in cooperation with USAID Small Business Expansion Project. After the successful meeting, other meetings will be held with each municipality, in order to gather more information needed for development of the feasibility studies.
