On 25/06/2010 in the premises of the municipality of Bitola, a meeting was held among the Ministry of information society, representatives of the USAID project for primary education (PEP) and representatives of the municipalities and primary schools from the Pelagonija planning region.
During this meeting, the USAID representatives presented the activities that should be taken by the municipalities in order to enable the maximum usage of the laptops. The laptops were purchased by the Ministry of information society with the governmental program “Computer for every child”, through which 53,000 Classmate PCs were provided for the 1st – 3rd grade students.
USAID will distribute 21,000 devices so called Access Points, providing wireless internet access to every classroom for class education, for the realization of this program.
Among the rest, the people present at this meeting received poll questionnaires which should be distributed to each school, answered and then returned to USAID-PEP.
The deadline for the installment of the access points in all the schools (where necessity is established), is August 30th, 2010.
