The Center for Development of Pelagonija region and USAID Project for Expansion of small businesses implemented by Carana Corporation, on the 7th of November 2012 in village Krklino, Bitola, organized conference where they promoted the beginning of the project “Introduction and implementation of the EU LEADER approach in Pelagonija region (PeLAGonija LEADER).
On the conference were attending representatives from United States Embassy, Mayors of the municipalities in Pelagonija region, representatives of the local self government of Pelagonija and of the agricultural sector and NGO. Speech was held by the representative from Carana Corporation Mr. Carl Larkins, Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Brian Aggeler, Deputy Minister of agriculture, forestry and water management Mr. Zoran Konjanovski, Mayor of Novaci Mr. Lazar Koteski, Head of the CDPR Mrs. Emilia Gjeroska and the project coordinator from the CDPR Mr. Vladimir Velichkovski.The goal of the project is improving the living conditions, more productive agriculture and wealthier and more developed rural areas in Pelagonija region.
