On Thursday May 23, 2013 on the city square Goce Delchev in Bitola, an Open Day was held in the framework of the project "Developing Cross- Border Joint Fire Protection plan- FIRESHIELD.“ This project is funded the ‘Greece- The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia IPA Cross-border Programme 2007-2013’, a component of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance.
The Hungarian ambassador to Macedonia Joseph Bence was a guest at this Open Day event. The citizens of Bitola on this open day had the opportunity to attend a demonstration exercise by firefighters from the fire territorial unit in Bitola. Also presented were the firefighter uniforms, hydrants and information tablets obtained within the project FIRESHIELD.
