Representative from the Center for Development of Pelagonia region took part at the plenary autumnal meeting of the Assembly of the European Union (AEP), the Commission 1. the meeting was held in the city of Banja Luka, Serbian Republic, Bosnia and Hercegovina in the period of September 15th and 16th, 2011.
More than 70 representatives representing 70 European regions took part at this meeting. The meeting was mainly based on discussions about the Commission 1 activities which were undertaken by the working groups in the past period and the activities (projects) which are planned to be undertaken in the future. Pelagonia Region took part at the working group formed by the Commission 1 for the activity concerning the energy efficiency and the working group for entrepreneur. The activities of the other working groups were also seen over at the plenary session, concerning the regional airports and the working group for rural development. During the plenary session future activities and direction tendencies of Commission 1 were elaborated.At the meeting a Civil Forum was organized, whereas guests students from Serbian Republic had the opportunity to discuss with the representatives of the European regions for the European perspectives of Bosnia and Hercegovina, their challenges and the problems they are facing along the way to the Federation.
Second day was reserved for thematic conference named as ‘Future European Union financing – preparedness of the regions for financial engineering’. At the thematic conference, besides the representatives of the European regions, representatives from the Government of the Serbian Republic were also present.
